An Environment for Learning

These are the rooms in our children's ministry space. We use these during our Apprentice Faith Shops Sunday School on Sunday mornings, as well as our other children's ministry activities.

On Location - This room or "shop" encourages the use of sicence, maps, making videos on location, and various other types of hands-on activities.

 Reel to Real - The room is designed like an actual theater with seats, a popcorn machine, and movie posters. The children may view a full video, or  view a video clip and participate in learning activities and discussion. And of course, popcorn is served!

Click on Faith - This is our computer room complete with six desktop computers. A variety of software and computer resources are used as learning tools to involve the children through interactive study of the lesson for the day.  

Stages of Life - A room for drama, puppets, music and storytelling. The room includes a "green room" corner, stage area, and plenty of space for children to step in and express their creativity. 

Carpenter's Shop - Our art room is creatively painted in order to free the children to create, make, and explore. Through various arts and art activities the children experience  the message for the day.

Temple Time - Our Temple Time room invites the children to enter into the atmosphere of teaching and learning that is special and reflective. The short tables, cushions for sitting and resting, and special decor provide for the usual elements of storytelling, discussion, and reflection to be experienced in an unusual way.

Moved by the Spirit - The colors, ceiling, and lighting create a soothing yet fluid atmosphere for this room. The children engage in musical experiences, activities that encourgae movement, and other learning games and activities.
