“CHARGE” TO THE AD-HOC COMMITTEE
FROM BOARD OF DEACONS:

• Review the committee structure and selection process of our committee system.   Consideration should be given to its overall effectiveness in allowing people to serve in areas that best match their gifts, passions, and calling as disciples. Evaluation should also be based on materials from other churches provided to the Ad-Hoc Committee. Decisions are to be made regarding which committees should remain as standing committees, and which could become “ministry teams.”
  
• Address the disparity in number of volunteers required by our church structure and the number of volunteers available for service. This may be achieved through combining of committees that have overlapping and duplicating functions, disbanding of committees no longer functioning or necessary, and reduction in size of committees as appropriate.
  
• Ineffective reduce duplications and number of people required to serve.
  
• Incorporate the current information and recommendations from the Nominating Committee.
  
• Simplify our church committee system.
