Preschool . . . Sunday School each week provides age appropriate activities, Bible stories, and play designed to teach children about the great love God has for them. The learning and child-care time is extended through the eleven o’clock hour of worship for children age four and under.

Apprentice Faith Shops . . . for kindergarten through grade five offers children the opportunity to learn in a setting designed for involvement, discovery, and creativity which utilizes drama, art, music, and multimedia to encounter all of the senses.

Youth Ministry . . . at FBC Athens seeks to promote spiritual growth in our young people through regular Sunday evening meetings for instruction and fellowship, local and out-of- town retreats, Sunday Mornings@The Corner for Bible study and prayer, significant mission trips, and local ministry projects.

Sunday School . . . is the heart of First Baptist Athens, and these gatherings of small groups foster spiritual growth through Bible study, discussions, mutual crisis support, prayer, missions and ministry projects, and fellowship activities. Classes are offered with a variety of teaching methods for every age group.

Wednesday Evenings . . . offer church dinners for fellowship and information exchange, a time for Prayer Focus and Devotion. Choirs and Mission Education opportunities for children; a Colloquium Series replete with special studies concerning topical scripture subjects, ethical issues, life skills, current news events, and community impact issues, and Sanctuary Choir for adults.

Special Events . . . occur throughout the church year, where people gather to focus, plan, pray, fellowship, and study. We regularly offer retreats for Deacons, Associate Deacons, and women who are seeking personal spiritual growth, as well as the spiritual growth of the church.
